Foam Mantis

Foam Mantis — The Grasshopper That Refuses to Take a Dive Meet the Foam Mantis, a high-floating segmented foam grasshopper that behaves like it’s allergic to water. Two-sentence hook: it sits proud on the surface, waves its synthetic wings, and dares fish to take a chance. For anglers who like dry fly action, floaty confidence, and fewer ruined casts, this one’s for you. Who it’s for: Dry fly anglers, indicator fishers, and anyone who enjoys the satisfying plop of a perfectly floating fly. Ideal for folks living the AXG Life — Life, Adventure-Ready — who want gear that performs without drama. Key Features & Design Pattern: Segmented foam grasshopper (Foam Mantis / Club Sandwich). Floatation: High-floating foam body that’s nearly unsinkable — yes, really. Use: Designed for dry fly fishing and indicator fishing. Construction: Foam body with synthetic legs and wings for realistic profile and durability. Performance & Benefits This fly stays on top when others sulk below. The segmented foam body keeps it buoyant through popps, casts, and questionable weather, while synthetic legs and wings create lifelike movement that turns curious trout into committed eaters. Perfect for lazy afternoons on the river or frantic last-minute casts when the hatch goes off. It solves the classic problem: flies that sink or collapse mid-fight. The Foam Mantis keeps shape, sheds water, and gives you more time to set the hook instead of wrestling soggy foam. Built for midnight trail runs and questionable decisions? Maybe not — but it will survive the river’s opinion of your casting skills. Why you’ll keep it: Reliable float, realistic action, and a compact profile that fits any fly box — also, it looks cool. Add to cart and make your next river story a little less embarrassing and a lot more legendary.
