Foamcore is not recommended for laser cutting due to the risk of burning the paper facing or melting the polystyrene core; use manual cutting tools like knives or hot wire cutters instead. Can I use foamcore outdoors? Foamcore is best suited for indoor use, as it is not waterproof or UV-resistant and may degrade in outdoor conditions. Is it safe for school projects? Yes, foamcore is non-toxic and safe for classroom use, ideal for student crafts and displays. How do I clean foamcore? Gently wipe with a dry or slightly damp lint-free cloth; avoid excessive moisture or harsh cleaners to prevent damage to the paper facing. Can I paint or print on foamcore? Yes, the smooth paper surface is paintable with acrylics and suitable for screen printing; test adhesion on a small area first. What’s the difference between foamcore and Coroplast? Foamcore has a polystyrene core with paper facing, ideal for lightweight indoor mounting and crafts, while Coroplast is corrugated plastic, offering greater durability and weather resistance for signage and packaging.
