Fluorite Heart Large

Fluorite is calcium fluoride (CaF2), a mineral prized for its wide range of colors and its striking, often rainbow-banded zoning. This piece is a large polished heart carved from natural fluorite, showing off that characteristic banded coloring across a smooth, rounded shape. Quick facts Stone Fluorite Composition Calcium fluoride (CaF2) Hardness (Mohs) 4 (soft — handle with care) Color Banded, often multicolored (rainbow fluorite) Chakra Heart and third eye Traditionally used for Focus, clarity, calm Care / Water-safe Not soak-safe — fluorite is soft; wipe gently, avoid water, salt, and abrasives Meaning & history Fluorite is known among collectors for its color range, often showing bands of purple, green, blue, and clear within a single piece — a pattern sometimes called rainbow fluorite. In crystal tradition, it's linked to focus, clarity, and calm, associated with both the heart and third eye chakras, a popular choice for study or work spaces. A heart carving combines that meaning with a softer, personal shape, sitting naturally among other crystal hearts and fluorite pieces. For a smaller, hand-held way to carry the same fluorite association, see our Fluorite Palm Stone. How to use it Many people keep a fluorite heart on a desk or shelf as a visual anchor during focused work or study, or simply hold it during a quiet moment. There's no single required way to use it. Care & cleansing Fluorite is a soft mineral, only about 4 on the Mohs hardness scale, so it should never be soaked or left in water for extended periods — this can dull the surface or, over time, cause damage. Wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth instead, and avoid salt, abrasive cleaners, and extended direct sunlight. Handle it carefully, since its softness makes it more prone to scratching or chipping than harder quartz-family stones. Frequently asked questions What is a fluorite heart? A fluorite heart is a polished heart-shaped carving cut from natural fluorite, often showing the mineral's characteristic banded or multicolored zoning. It is a decorative and symbolic piece, not a health product or medical device. What is fluorite made of? Fluorite is calcium fluoride (CaF2), a mineral known for forming in a wide range of colors and often showing banded color zoning within a single piece, sometimes called rainbow fluorite. Is fluorite safe to get wet? Fluorite is a soft mineral, about 4 on the Mohs hardness scale, so it should not be soaked or left in water for long periods. A quick, gentle wipe is fine, but avoid prolonged water exposure, salt, and abrasive cleaning. What does fluorite mean in crystal tradition?
