Sodalite (Hackmanite), Polylithionite - Greenland

*Note: Please make sure to right-click and print (or save) ID card located in the photo gallery for your records* Spheres fashioned from genuine Greenland fluorescent mineral material are exceedingly uncommon, and each one reveals a completely unique cross-section through the complex mineral assemblage. The sodalite fluoresces a brilliant orange alongside bright silver polylithionite under shortwave UV. There is a small area of bright blue analcime as well. The hackmanite is also strongly tenebrescent, changing color after UV exposure and returning toward its original coloration when exposed to bright white light. This reversible reaction can be repeated again and again, making the sphere as fascinating scientifically as it is visually. This is a one-of-a-kind Greenland collector specimen.
