About This Style Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash colour variation, and worn-look surface treatments. Distressed rugs exhibit a surface texture that mimics natural wear, where selective fading and overdyed finishes reveal ghost traces of the original pattern beneath the wash. Medallion rugs are defined by a dominant central motif, typically rendered in geometric or stylised forms that are framed by a distinct border, reflecting classical Anatolian carpet traditions. Where It Works The flatwoven construction makes this rug suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and living rooms. Its profile is ideal for layering over larger carpets or placement in spaces with underfloor heating. Why Choose This Rug? — Features a central medallion motif with a grey overdyed finish that highlights the ghost-pattern and distressed character. — Crafted from a cotton and polyester blend; cotton provides breathability, while polyester ensures durability and moisture resistance for everyday use. — The flatwoven construction ensures the rug lies flat against the floor and remains easy to maintain in busy environments. — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production. — Designed for longevity, this rug is high-traffic durable, layering-friendly, and safe for use over underfloor heating systems.
