Fluffy Alpaca Yarn, Filati Biagioli Modesto GARFIELD, Luxury Italian Sport Weight Yarn, Balls or Cones, 300m/100g

GARFIELD by Filati Biagioli Modesto, Italy is a soft, fluffy luxury yarn made from 90% alpaca and 10% polyamide, offering approximately 300 meters per 100 g. Despite its relatively fine meterage, this yarn behaves as a light sport-weight yarn due to its brushed alpaca construction. It creates airy, voluminous fabric with exceptional softness and warmth. Ideal for single-strand knitting for lightweight garments or as a companion yarn to add body, softness, and dimension. This yarn stands out for its versatility and modern texture. The fluffy alpaca structure builds volume without heaviness, making finished garments warm yet breathable. It works beautifully alone for soft, airy knits or combined with other yarns like silk, sequins, or metallic threads to create rich, textured fabrics such as tweed-inspired or Chanel-style designs. The knitting experience is smooth and comfortable, with a soft, приятная feel and excellent visual result. ▣ Product Specifications • Manufacturer: FILATI BIAGIOLI MODESTO, Italy • Article: GARFIELD • Fiber Content: 90% Alpaca, 10% Polyamide • Yarn Category: Sport Weight • Yarn Count: 3000 • Yardage: approx. 300 m / 328 yd per 100 g (3.52 oz) • Formats: Balls (BY DEFAULT) or Cones (PLEASE PURCHASE) • Origin: Made in Italy ⌁ Texture & Feel • Fluffy, brushed alpaca texture with soft cloud-like halo • Extremely soft and lightweight • Creates airy, voluminous fabric • Warm without feeling heavy ⚑ Why This Yarn Is Special • High alpaca content for premium softness • Brushed construction adds natural volume • Works both as main yarn and blending yarn • Perfect for modern textured knitwear • Easy and comfortable to knit ✧ Fiber Profile • Alpaca: softness, warmth, natural halo • Polyamide: strength, structure, durability • Combined: stable yet airy luxury yarn ➤ IMPORTANT — Yarn Usage • Tested with US size 6 needles → very light, open fabric • For denser structure → use US size 4–5 • Excellent for airy garments and soft layering pieces • Ideal companion yarn for adding volume and warmth ⋔ Recommended Yarn Usage • Single strand: lightweight sweaters shawls and wraps soft accessories • Combined with other yarns: textured garments tweed-style knits Chanel-style designs ➤ Recommended Pairings From iDOKNiT • Silk yarns for structure and contrast • Sequin yarns for texture and shine • Metallic threads for modern fashion pieces • Fine wool or blends for depth and warmth ✦ Recommended Needles / Hooks • Knitting needles: US 4–6 depending on density • Crochet hooks: 3.0–4.0 mm • Adjust for open vs structured fabric ⫯ Weaving Suitability • Suitable for soft, lightweight woven fabrics • Adds volume and softness to blends • Ideal for scarves and textured textiles ⟳ Care Instructions • Hand wash cold • Use gentle wool detergent • Do not wring • Lay flat to dry • Avoid agitation to preserve halo
