The custom-tuned FlowFX muffler employs a “straight through” design that balances sound attenuation with performance gains, while the Scavenger X-Pipe with D-Port technology enhances exhaust scavenging for improved engine efficiency. The system’s black ceramic coated tips not only provide a distinctive, aggressive finish but also offer additional protection against corrosion and discoloration from heat. Every component is precision-engineered to fit seamlessly with the Ram 1500’s factory exhaust layout, maintaining a clean, OEM-quality appearance. Performance & Sound Flowmaster’s Flow FX Cat-Back Exhaust System delivers measurable performance improvements, with maximum dyno gains of up to 26 horsepower and 23 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels on High Output models. The system’s design enhances exhaust flow and reduces backpressure, resulting in improved throttle response and overall engine efficiency. Acoustically, the system produces a deep, aggressive exhaust tone that is unmistakably Flowmaster. The inclusion of tuned resonators ensures that the sound remains refined and comfortable inside the cab, minimizing drone during cruising while still providing an exhilarating exhaust note under acceleration.
