By Any Other Name - 8x 12 transfer Pad - by Iron Orchid Designs

BY ANY OTHER NAME Transfer By Any Other Name is a romantic collection of antique rose studies drawn from the work of Paul de Longpré, known for his expressive botanical compositions. This transfer brings together richly detailed roses with softly integrated birds and butterflies, preserving the character and nuance of the original prints.   Sourced from a historic volume of de Longpré’s work, the imagery reflects a period where botanical illustration balanced precision with movement, giving each bloom a sense of life rather than static form. The added typography and nature elements allow for flexible compositions, whether building a full arrangement or working with individual motifs.   The scale and detail of the artwork make it especially suited for layered designs, where florals, script, and natural elements can be combined to create depth without feeling crowded. Each element maintains clarity and structure, allowing the design to hold together across both small and more complex applications.   This collection carries a softer, more expressive tone than traditional botanical transfers, with roses that feel studied yet painterly, and supporting elements that enhance rather than compete with the composition.   INSTRUCTIONS Carefully select and cut out your transfer pieces, being careful to keep the protective backing material with the transfer. Hovering over the surface, position the transfer piece where you want to apply it. Put the transfer in place and use tape to secure the corners. Using the provided tool, start in one corner of the design and begin rubbing with firm, even pressure to adhere the transfer to the surface. Continue across the design until it is all adhered. If a small amount has not transferred when you peel the sheet up, simply lay the sheet back down and apply more rubbing to that area. Remove the sheet and smooth down any loose areas with your clean, dry hand. Burnish firmly with a clean soft cloth to ensure maximum adhesion. You can leave as is or gently distress with fine sandpaper. Protect the transfer with a surface appropriate sealer that does not contain strong solvents.
