Caroline Pinney’s Condition series explores the experience of inhabiting a sustained psychological state rather than narrating a moment of change. The works consider what it means to occupy a newly assumed condition—one shaped by shifts in attention, responsibility, and internal structure. Rather than depicting transformation itself, Pinney’s work reflects the quiet, ongoing process of living within its aftermath, where perception recalibrates and emotional frameworks subtly reorganize. Through this lens, Condition becomes an exploration of how interior states settle and endure, shaping the rhythms of awareness and the architecture of everyday life.
