Ruffwear | Float Coat | Red Sumac

The Ruffwear Float Coat represents the gold standard in canine water safety, engineered by a company that understands dogs don't just need flotation—they need gear that moves with their natural swimming mechanics. This isn't a basic foam-filled vest but a thoughtfully designed life jacket that's become the go-to choice for water-loving dogs and their adventure-minded owners across the country. The Float Coat's strategic foam panel placement supports a dog's natural swimming position rather than forcing an awkward float, while the PVC-free foam construction ensures comfort during extended wear. A low-profile rescue handle sits at the optimal lift point for safely hoisting dogs from water, complemented by a leash attachment point and telescoping neck closure that adjusts securely across a range of sizes without requiring removal. This life jacket excels for dogs of all sizes who regularly join their families for boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, or any water recreation where safety and mobility matter. The Red Sumac colorway provides excellent visibility while maintaining Ruffwear's signature durability and style. Available in sizes XXS through XL, the Float Coat accommodates everything from adventurous small breeds to large working dogs who need reliable flotation without compromising their ability to swim naturally.
