FliteTraining Instrument Instructor Guide

Overview This instructor guide delivers a blended learning solution for all stages of Instrument pilot flight and ground training. Use as a complement to online course content while capturing classroom learning with a practical, need-to-know information approach. Features The Jeppesen Flite Training Instrument Pilot instructor Guides contain tools that help instructors deliver a complete, blended flight training solution that is easy to manage and enhances student progress through self-paced study, classroom instruction and flight deck validation. The contents of the Instructor Guide kit include: A course map that can be used to track progress through the lessons using a visual depiction of the FAA Part 141 milestones and flight lessons. The back of the course map contains frequently used job aids. Two workbooks of ground and flight lessons accommodate the teaching process by offering a library of enriched activities and personalized worksheets. Classroom presentation support slides on a USB device that provide the outline for all ground lessons in customizable presentation files. Instructors can add their own branding to the writeable files as well as customize the outline to meet their own sequencing and content needs. (requires Microsoft Powerpoint 2007 or higher) Online, self-paced study: The online content delivers a mobile, visually-rich experience anywhere, anytime, at the student's own pace. Automated reports from Jeppesen's online learning center provide the instructor with detailed lesson completion and exam information, which helps target student needs and make better use of classroom time. The interactive content, practice opportunities and exams give students an enhanced study experience that holds attention and increases retention.  Enriched classroom instruction: The strong foundation built by the online ground lessons gives the instructor more time to provide real-world expertise and feedback using a library of activities, including case studies, technical workshops, scenarios and field tours. Additionally, the online maneuvers lessons are complemented by graphic worksheets designed for aircraft specific and local operations information. These instructor-led experiences help students develop a personal attachment to the content instead of the sterile, rote memorization that characterizes traditional lecture and knowledge transfer activities. Students achieve their goals faster and with more personalized attention because more classroom time is spent getting answers to specific questions and experiencing hands-on, critical thinking and visualization activities.  Savings in the flight lesson: Given more time to apply knowledge and think through complex concepts on the ground, students and instructors make the most of their time in the flight lessons. Pre- and post-flight discussions can focus on specific instructor feedback using flight profile worksheets to visualize and capture key learning points for each flight lesson task.
