Flippin’ Shrimp – A.J. Rosenbohm Signature Pattern

Flippin’ Shrimp – A.J. Rosenbohm Signature Pattern Designed by Louisiana native and longtime marsh angler A.J. Rosenbohm, the Flippin’ Shrimp is a proven shallow-water producer refined over years of sight-fishing the Gulf Coast. Built on a strong #2 saltwater hook with lead eyes, this pattern sinks quickly, stays level, and holds a clean shrimp profile even when presented tight to tailing fish. The long barred tail creates subtle breathing movement, while the translucent body adds just enough shimmer to stand out without blowing up the natural silhouette. Every element is tied to perform in the marsh: a weight-forward design that flips over cleanly, materials that won’t foul, and durability that handles grass edges, shell, and redfish crushers without falling apart. Whether you’re sliding it into a pothole for speckled trout, dropping it in front of a crawling red, or creeping it along mud for drum, this pattern stays in the zone and triggers the eats that matter. Flippin’ Shrimp has been a staple in A.J.’s Louisiana playbook for years because it simply works across seasons, water clarities, and forage cycles.
