FlexEpox Flexible Epoxy Adhesive

STAYS FLEXIBLE, STAYS STUCK TotalBoat FlexEpox is a versatile, flexible epoxy adhesive that’s great for repairing joints or fabricating small laminated parts that are prone to excessive flexing. It’s much more flexible than two-part traditional epoxy/hardener formulas, and its easy-to-mix, two-part formula produces tough, permanent, waterproof bonds that absorb stresses without cracking, and flex without coming unstuck. FlexEpox epoxy adhesive maintains its form better at higher temperatures, recovers faster from elongation, and is a better value. Compared to flexible one-part urethane adhesives, FlexEpox creates structural bonds with greater flexibility and better long-term performance. GREAT FOR BONDING MATERIALS OTHER ADHESIVES CAN’T FlexEpox flexible epoxy adhesive can bond many different types of materials, including metals such as aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel, and is great for repairing aluminum boats. It also bonds fiberglass, G10, glass, ceramics, plastics, masonry, and wood. FlexEpox even bonds tropical and domestic hardwoods that typical one-part urethane adhesives can’t because of the oiliness associated with these wood species. WORKS IN A WIDE RANGE OF TEMPERATURES, ON WET OR DRY SURFACES If you have to fix a broken joint or fabricate a part on a cold, rainy day — a typical New England reality — FlexEpox can be applied with complete confidence to wet or damp surfaces in temperatures as low as 40°F. It can also be applied in temperatures as high as 125°F, which is good news for boats and RVs in sunny southern and tropical climes. If you need it to cure underwater, under the right conditions it can do that, too, just be sure to allow at least 24 hours before subjecting it to high loads. EASY TO MIX, EASY TO USE For some repairs, you just need a little epoxy, and FlexEpox is very easy to mix in small batches. Squeeze equal amounts of resin and hardener in a 1 to 1 mix into a container and stir to mix thoroughly. No complicated measuring equipment or pumps needed. And with a viscosity like thick honey, what’s really sweet is FlexEpox won’t drain out of joints while it’s curing, but can also wet out fiberglass cloth and tape easily. The generously long 75-minute working time gives you enough time for bigger laminating jobs and clamping parts. FLEXEPOX ADHESIVE DETAILS For flexible, permanent, structural bonds with metal, fiberglass, glass, plastic, and wood substrates, including tropical and domestic hard woods that are difficult to glue. More flexible and able to deflect further before breaking than TotalBoat Traditional Epoxy Resin and Hardeners, making it ideal for creating small, laminated parts that will undergo excessive flexing. FlexEpox has increased flexibility and long-term performance compared to one-part urethane adhesive sealants. Tolerates flexing, vibration, and other stresses without cracking or delaminating. Thicker viscosity won’t drip out of bonded joints, yet is ideal for wetting out fiberglass fabrics. Can be used in cooler temperatures and works on damp surfaces. Great for repairing aluminum boats. Simple 1:1 mix ratio, long working time, and fast cure time make FlexEpox easy to use and get great results. Pair with TotalBoat additives and fillers to suit your application.
