Side effects of using retinol can include redness, irritation and dryness, plus you need to be super careful with sun exposure. It’s all-in-all not a perfect option for those with sensitive skin. Sadly, for those who find retinol too irritating there hasn’t been an effective alternative- until now.Enter Bakuchiol! Found in the seeds and leaves of the plant Psoralea Corylifolia, commonly known as Babchi, this popular herb has long been used in traditional Ayurvedic and Chinese medicines. A study performed in 2014 by the Society of Cosmetic Scientists showed that plant-based bakuchiol functions similarly to retinol. Comparisons include increased cell turnover and boosted collagen production, resulting in a brighter and more youthful complexion. If you’ve had your share of issues with retinol in the past, are nervous about possible side effects of it, or just want a clean, effective product with naturally-sourced ingredients, Flawless may just be your new go-to! The lightweight phyto-cream promotes youth-boosting results, gentle and effective for all skin types (especially those with sensitive skin!) without any of the irritating effects of traditional retinol. It’s even sunshine approved!
