Flat Top Steel Post Cap (Multiple Post Sizes Available)

Heavy-Duty Flat Top Steel Post Caps – Protection for Every Post Size Protect your fence and deck posts with the ultimate in American-made durability. Unlike thin plastic or flimsy aluminum caps that crack over time, our Flat Top Steel Post Caps are hand-welded from thick, structural steel to provide a lifetime of protection and a clean, modern aesthetic for your outdoor space. Custom Fit for Every Project We understand that not all "4x4s" are created equal. That is why we offer a full range of sizes to ensure a precision fit for both standard and rough-cut lumber: Nominal Sizes (Standard Lumber): Fits standard posts found at most lumberyards. Nominal 4x4 (Actual 3.5" x 3.5") Nominal 4x6 (Actual 3.5" x 5.5") Nominal 6x6 (Actual 5.5" x 5.5") True Sizes (Rough-Cut/Hardwood): For the builder using full-dimension timber. True 4x4 (Actual 4" x 4") True 5x5 (Actual 5" x 5") True 6x6 (Actual 6" x 6") Custom sizes are available upon request—if you don't see your size, just ask! Why Choose Madison Iron and Wood? Veteran-Owned Quality: Every cap is hand-welded and inspected in our Madison, Indiana shop. Superior Finish: Finished in a high-quality, baked-on powder coat with UV inhibitors to prevent the "chalking" or fading common with cheap paints. Easy Installation: Each cap comes pre-drilled on two sides with matching powder-coated screws included for a seamless look. Optional Zinc Primer: For maximum rust protection, we offer an optional zinc-rich primer—a "sacrificial shield" that prevents corrosion even if the finish is scratched. Technical Specifications: Material: Heavy-Duty American Steel. Color Options: Available in Antique Copper, Semi-Gloss Black, White, and 11+ other premium finishes. Origin: Made in the USA. Note: Please measure your post dimensions before ordering to ensure the perfect fit for your specific lumber.
