Foundation Rock - Per Pound - MarcoRocks

MarcoRocks Foundation Reef Saver Rock is the ideal base for building strong, stable, and visually stunning reef structures. Each piece is cut flat on one side, providing a solid and level foundation for stacking additional rock without adding stress to the aquarium glass or risking instability. Whether you’re going bare-bottom or using a sand bed, placing foundation pieces spaced approximately 6”–11” apart creates excellent flow beneath the rockwork and prevents debris from settling, promoting a cleaner, healthier system.     Key Features:     Flat-cut base for secure, stable placement Helps distribute weight and relieve pressure points Creates a strong foundation for rock structures Allows improved flow under the aquascape for better detritus removal Ideal for both bare-bottom and sand bed aquariums Naturally porous for superior biological filtration 100% pest- and algae-free – no unwanted hitchhikers Environmentally responsible – not harvested from live reefs       Sizing Information:     Sold by the piece Mixed sizes ranging up to 11”+ Pieces typically range from 1 to 3+ pounds each Shapes and sizes vary naturally for aquascaping flexibility       How Much Foundation Rock Do You Need?   Rather than using the standard “pound per gallon” rule, we recommend using approximately one piece of foundation rock per foot of tank length. Having a few extra pieces on hand offers greater creative freedom and helps ensure every part of your scape is supported while allowing for proper water flow.     Rock is naturally fragile and some breakage may occur during shipping. While we inspect and securely pack each box, carrier handling is beyond our control. Shipping insurance does not cover breakage, so we cannot offer replacements
