Flashback Pheasant Tail (Standard) – FINATICS

The Flashback Pheasant Tail (Standard) is a highly effective variation of one of the most trusted nymph patterns in fly fishing—built to imitate mayfly nymphs while maintaining a natural presentation. Tied on a barbed hook and offered in sizes 14, 16, and 18. This pattern features the classic pheasant tail body paired with a reflective flashback wing case, giving trout a subtle visual trigger without overpowering the fly’s natural profile. Without a bead head, this version provides a slower, more controlled sink rate, making it ideal for shallow water, lighter rigs, and pressured fish that respond better to a natural drift. A reliable choice when fish are feeding subsurface but aren’t committing to heavier or more aggressive patterns.
