Flashback Pheasant Tail (Bead Head) – FINATICS

The Flashback Pheasant Tail (Bead Head) is one of the most effective and widely trusted nymph patterns in fly fishing—built to imitate a range of mayfly nymphs while adding flash and weight for increased performance. Tied on a barbed hook and offered in sizes 10, 12, 14, and 18. This pattern combines the natural profile of a traditional pheasant tail with a reflective flashback wing case, helping trout locate the fly in changing light and water conditions. The bead head provides the weight needed to get down quickly and stay in the strike zone, making it ideal for deeper runs, faster current, and nymph rigs. A proven producer across all trout fisheries, this is a must-have pattern whether you're fishing pressured water or covering new water.
