Flashback Hare’s Ear – FINATICS

The Flashback Hare’s Ear is a high-performance variation of one of the most trusted nymph patterns in fly fishing—designed to add just enough flash to trigger strikes without sacrificing a natural profile. Tied on a barbed hook and offered in sizes 14 and 16. Built with a traditional hare’s ear body and a reflective flashback wing case, this pattern imitates a wide range of aquatic insects while adding a subtle glint that helps fish locate the fly in varying light conditions. A bead head provides the weight needed to get down quickly and stay in the strike zone, making it ideal for deeper runs, moderate current, and nymph rigs where both visibility and depth matter. This is a proven confidence fly when standard nymphs aren’t getting attention—especially in pressured water or changing light.
