Flared Bedford Cord Five Pocket Pants - Black

In our very early Wythe development, we knew we wanted to have a core bedford cord program - we had found so many vintage garments worn by cattlemen and ranchers in the 40s and 50s and the fabric spoke to us in a way that just felt right. These vintage pants were so broken in, so soft, yet still managed to feel bulletproof. We loved how it broke in and knew this was going to be a staple of ours. This particular bedford cord is just what we were looking for in a workwear staple. It's woven on vintage selvedge loom by a Japanese mill that specializes in weaving this fabric, exactly like it used to be made in the 40s and 50s. It's one of the only fabrics this mill produces. One of the amazing things about bedford cord is how hard wearing it is on the outside, but how soft and stretchy it is on the inside. It breaks in and molds to your body like raw denim, and is easy to see why this was a favored fabric for workwear. As a continuation of the brand and an evolution of our offering, it was inevitable that we'd make flares at some point. We had played around with leather and roughout flares before but figured since we use this bedford cord enough, it only made sense to take our existing five pocket model and give it a little juice. Introducing the Bedford Cord Five Pocket Flares. No rivets or patch, much like the vintage references we love, these feature the same top block as our regular five pockets, but taper in at the knee before flaring out at the bottom, which helps accentuate the shape. 100% Cotton Mid rise Custom embossed steer head shank Slight taper at the knee to help accentuate the flared bottom Fabric sourced from Japan Made in China in a WRAP Gold certified facility Machine wash on cold, hang dry/dry low - expect some shrinkage
