Who could blame these plucky little guys for wanting no part in the Queen's crazy game? Escape is the plan for these two. But the flamingo? Well, size doesn't play well to his favor so he's not going to play their game either! This is a framed graphite drawing/study for the creation of an oil painting in the 'Portraits of Wonderland' series - a series of paintings capturing the wonderful personalities of Lewis Carroll's marvelous book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland'. From Jeff: There’s more than one game being played on the lawn here today… I wanted to provide a funny view of these unfortunate little guys being caught up not only in a game of croquet, but a game of “if I’m doing this, so are you!”, from the flamingo’s perspective.
