UNISEX FLAME 5: Egret/Black

Carbon plate performance shouldn't cost $300. The Flame 5 is 361's flagship racing shoe: a full-length curved carbon plate, CQT FLAME supercritical foam with 85% energy return, and an eco-conscious recycled upper built from corn-based carbon yarn. The result is a stable, durable, and responsive racer that gets faster as you do and holds up far longer than most shoes in this category. Best for 10K through marathon. One degree beyond what you'd expect from a shoe at this price. A Carbon Plate That Works With Your Foot. Most carbon plates are flat. The Flame 5 isn't. The QU!KBONE-DYN+ CARBONDOME is a full-length curved carbon plate that follows the natural dynamics of your foot from heel to toe, delivering enhanced torsional protection, smoother gait transitions, and stronger propulsion with every stride. The curve isn't cosmetic — it's functional. It activates across the full foot, not just the forefoot, making the Flame 5 effective for heel strikers and midfoot runners alike. An extended rear heel geometry ensures the platform supports whatever your natural strike pattern is. Foam That Earns Its Energy Return. CQT FLAME is a supercritical E40 nylon foam engineered with a hardness rating of 40C, delivering up to 85% energy feedback and an 80% rebound rate. What that means on the run: it's soft enough to keep your legs fresh over long miles, responsive enough to reward faster paces, and durable enough that it resists compression over time. A 4mm eco-friendly supercritical insole adds an additional layer of shock absorption. The foam doesn't just bounce — it keeps bouncing, mile after mile. Locked Down. Distraction-Free. The Flame 5 upper is built from recycled carbon yarn, a 65% ETPU / 35% nylon blend made from corn-based recycled materials, delivering a breathable and eco-conscious fit. The MORPHIT lacing system takes the lockdown a step further, providing precise, even pressure across the foot without the hot spots that sideline runners mid-race. No ankle friction. No instep pressure. Just a clean, distraction-free fit that lets you focus on pace, not footwear. Durable Enough to Outlast Your Training Block. The full-length RPU outsole is engineered for consistent grip and smooth transitions between dry and wet road surfaces. Physical adhesion properties keep each stride stable and energy-efficient at any pace. Real-world durability data from runners with 40+ miles on the shoe shows virtually no outsole wear — a significant advantage over lighter racing shoes that sacrifice durability for weight. If you're looking for a carbon racer you can actually train in, not just race in, the Flame 5 outsole delivers. Built Fast. Built Responsibly. The Flame 5 upper is made from corn-based recycled carbon yarn, combining breathable performance with a reduced environmental footprint. This isn't a sustainability add-on — it's baked into the construction. Lighter, stronger, and built with less waste than traditional upper materials.
