The Fizik Vento Argo R1 Saddle is a short nose performance racing saddle, offering improved stability, aggression, and aerodynamic support. The construction of this saddle makes it perfect for racing. It requires less shifting of position to find the most efficient area of the saddle for a particular section of road. A central cutout both knocks some weight off the saddle and avoids putting unnecessary pressure on soft tissue. This was accomplished thanks to a team of medical experts who helped Fizik conduct a pressure analysis along the entire seat. The padding is made with Fizik’s proprietary Type 1 Foam which is very comfortable for long rides. It remains firm, reactive, and springy for instantaneous response and power. The front of the seat also features a dropped nose which adds support while leaning forward in the aero position.
