Fixed Forward Segunda Pelham

The Fixed Forward Segunda Pelham Bit features a stainless steel mouthpiece with a port that applies targeted pressure to the tongue and palate, encouraging proper head carriage. The sharper profile concentrates pressure specifically on the tongue, making the bit effective for strong or less responsive horses. Pelham cheekpieces allow for additional curb and poll pressure while maintaining steady contact. Ideal for horses that need lateral support, respond to tongue and palate pressure, and benefit from a bit that discourages tongue over the mouthpiece. Key Features of the Fixed Forward Segunda Mouthpiece : Palate Engagement : The port applies targeted pressure to the palate when the reins are engaged, encouraging proper head carriage and improved balance. Tongue Management : The mouthpiece design discourages the horse from placing its tongue over the bit, helping maintain correct tongue position. Sharp Profile : The sharper shape concentrates pressure, making this bit effective for strong or less responsive horses while still allowing clear communication. Pelham Design Features : Versatile Rein Options : The Pelham design allows for multiple rein placements, offering the rider flexibility in how much leverage they want to apply based on their riding situation. Balanced Leverage : The shanks of the Pelham provide balanced leverage, giving riders the option to gently lift the horse when needed while maintaining a soft, comfortable feel. Encourages Responsiveness : Even with the added leverage, the Pelham design helps horses remain responsive and engaged, promoting better communication between horse and rider.
