5 Star X ThinLine 1/2 Inch Black Felt Half Pad

1/2 inch Virgin Felt Two Panels of ThinLine Protection Shimmable – All 5 Star half pads come with a set of ThinLine Trim-to-Fit shims ThinLine, known for decades as the best low profile shock absorbing pad material, embarked this year on a mission to join forces with the best saddle pads on the market in other areas of expertise.  To this end we are proud to announce our Joint Venture with 5 Star Pads.  Beginning with their English felt half pad line we hope to encompass western and endurance disciplines in the coming year.  Here is a little about why we chose to join with 5 Star and create an exceptional half pad with 5 Star felt and ThinLine. At 5 Star, we use only 100% pure, industrial-grade wool—no shortcuts. The result? Superior compression protection, natural moisture-wicking, and consistent fit that improves with use. Crafted, Not Mass Produced Each 5 Star pad is made by skilled hands in the USA—not pulled off a production line overseas. Our attention to contour, stitching, and longevity means your pad performs season after season, even under heavy use. Designed for True Saddle Fit While many pads compress unevenly or create pressure points over time, 5 Star’s dense wool maintains its shape and adapts to your horse’s back with every ride. The result: better weight distribution, reduced soreness, and a more balanced ride—no gimmicks, just performance.   ThinLine is also a small family-owned USA manufacturing company in North Carolina.  Its founder created the Joint Venture initiative in 2025 in hopes small companies could come together and feature what they do best. This corporate shift to include and work together with companies instead of copying others’ good works is part of their fundamental dedication to the industry and world at large.  We hope you benefit from ThinLine joint ventures with companies such as 5 Star and 16 Cypress.
