Firia Labs CodeAIR Fly with Python Kit

Firia Labs CodeAIR Fly with Python Kit Grades: 6+ Number of Students: 1-2 per kit   Highlights: CodeAIR is an incredibly capable flying robotics platform coupled with an easy-to-use Python coding environment in CodeSpace. Firia Lab's Fly with Python curriculum begins with students writing their first lines of Python code to light CodeAIR's LEDs. From there, engaging projects (Missions) lead them step-by-step into the world of autonomous drone flight. Open Hardware Design CodeAIR is a great introduction to the electronics and software technologies that enable stable quadcopter flight.    Camera and Machine Learning How's your Python code going to make sense of the camera data? How about a neural network? CodeAIR's onboard AI Accelerator runs TensorFlow Lite, an industry standard machine learning engine. High-performance micro drone – safe, but incredibly powerful and capable! Onboard camera and AI engine lets your code “see” the environment. Learn the fundamentals of AI with neural network models you can hold in your hand! With the projects, academic rigor, and authenticity you expect from Firia Labs! Built for Python, on the foundation of Firia Labs’ CodeBot and CodeX robotics. Integrated with CodeSpace – the only drone with a dedicated STEM Learning Platform.   Curriculum or Lesson Topics: Breeze into machine learning with the only drone where your code flies onboard! With CodeAIR, students dive into the world of AI, Python programming, and drone technology. As they build and code autonomous drone projects, they develop critical skills in: Python Programming: Master the fundamentals and explore Computer Science by writing code that runs directly on the drone. AI and Machine Learning: Use the onboard neural network and camera for real-time object and pattern recognition. STEM, Robotics, and Computational Thinking: Experience the STEM side of drone hardware and software, learning about the sensors, electronics, and code that make stable quadcopter flight possible!   What's Included: Kit includes: Complete assembled CodeAIR quadcopter, rechargeable battery (600mAh), USB-C cable, and 1 year floating license to Fly with Python curriculum in CodeSpace.   PLEASE NOTE: Optionally you can include a Codex controller in the order, but it is not required for the basic missions.   Technical Specifications: Weight: 55g Size (WxHxD): 130x130x35mm USB-C programming / onboard LiPo charger Dedicated multi-core application CPU / AI accelerator Camera – color CMOS UXGA (1632x1232) image sensor (OV2640) 3 axis accelerometer / gyroscope (BMI088) High precision barometric altimeter (BMP390) 3 axis magnetometer (QMC5883) Up / Down / Front laser range sensors (VL53L1CX) Optical ground-tracking flow sensor (PMW3901) Hardware expansion port: QWIIC   Special Notes and Considerations: Please Note: This product comes in two quantities: Singles and 10-Packs.
