Fire Magic Aurora A790i Built-In Grill, 36-Inch, 304 Stainless Steel

The Fire Magic Aurora A790i is built around three cast 304 stainless steel E-burners, each a full quarter-inch thick and rated at 31,000 BTU — 90,000 BTU in total across a 792-square-inch primary cooking surface. That kind of thermal output is serious, but it's the precision of the Diamond Sear cooking grids that turns raw BTUs into actual results: defined sear marks, even heat transfer, and a surface designed to perform consistently over years of use. A 20,000 BTU stainless steel infrared backburner adds rotisserie capability to the lineup — pair it with the optional rotisserie kit and motor, and you have a legitimate set-and-forget roasting setup that most outdoor kitchens simply can't offer. The 288-square-inch warming rack (36 inches wide, 8 inches deep) keeps finished dishes ready without sacrificing the main cooking real estate below. Hot surface ignition (HSI) replaces the ritual of clicking a spark igniter repeatedly in the wind. Press, wait a moment, and cook. Back-lit LED comfort touch knobs keep the interface clean and readable after dark, while halogen interior lights illuminate the cooking chamber so you're not guessing at doneness by phone flashlight. The double-walled, spring-assisted hood opens a full 90 degrees and integrates an analog thermometer directly — no clip-on accessories, no guesswork about ambient heat. Construction throughout is 304 stainless steel, the grade that actually holds up to coastal air, poolside splashes, and the general indignities of outdoor life. The cut-out dimensions — 37 inches wide, 23.5 inches deep, 11.5 inches tall — are worth confirming against your island or enclosure plans before ordering. If you're building into a combustible surround, an insulating liner is available as an optional upgrade specifically for that purpose. The A790i is also compatible with the optional Magic View Window, which lets you monitor what's happening inside without lifting the hood and shedding heat — a small feature that turns out to matter more than you'd expect on longer cooks. For those who want cart flexibility rather than a permanent install, the 790-SC24 portable cart base is a compatible option. An optional infrared burner and griddle accessories round out the configuration possibilities, making this a grill that can grow with how you actually cook rather than locking you into one mode. At $7,610, the A790i is a considered investment in a built-in cooking station that's designed to be used hard and maintained easily. Everything here — the burner material, the ignition system, the lighting, the optional upgrade path — reflects a coherent point of view about what a professional-grade outdoor grill should actually be. 792 sq in primary cooking surface with 288 sq in warming rack (1,080 sq in total) 3 cast 304 stainless steel E-burners, 1/4-inch thick, 31,000 BTU each (90,000 BTU total) 20,000 BTU stainless steel infrared backburner for rotisserie cooking Diamond Sear cooking grids for consistent sear marks and even heat distribution Hot surface ignition (HSI) — reliable, wind-resistant, no repeated clicking Double-walled, spring-assisted hood opens 90 degrees with integrated analog thermometer Back-lit LED comfort touch control knobs for easy nighttime operation Halogen interior lights illuminate the cooking chamber after dark Full 304 stainless steel construction throughout Cut-out dimensions: 37"W x 23.5"D x 11.5"H Compatible with optional Magic View Window upgrade Optional insulating liner available for combustible enclosure installations Compatible with 790-SC24 portable cart base for non-permanent setups Upgradeable with optional infrared burner, rotisserie kit with motor, and griddle accessories Product Type Built-in Gas Grill Model A790i Fuel Type Natural Gas Ignition System Hot Surface Ignition (HSI) Cooking Area Width 36 inches Cooking Area Depth 22 inches Cooking Area 792 square inches Warming Rack Width 36 inches Warming Rack Depth 8 inches Warming Rack Area 288 square inches Main Burners 3 cast stainless steel E-burners Main Burner Btu 90,000 BTU total Individual Burner Btu 31,000 BTU each Backburner 20,000 BTU stainless steel infrared Burner Material 1/4-inch thick cast 304 stainless steel Hood Double-walled, spring-assisted, opens 90 degrees Construction 304 stainless steel Cooking Grids Diamond Sear cooking grids Thermometer Analog, integrated in hood Control Knobs Comfort touch, back-lit LED Interior Lights Halogen lights Cut-Out Area Width 37 inches Cut-Out Area Depth 23.5 inches Cut-Out Area Height 11.5 inches
