Finest Call Blood Orange Sour 1L

Finest Call Blood Orange Sour 1L is a non-alcoholic cocktail mixer made from single-pressed fruit juices in a 1-liter bottle (0% ABV). What distinguishes this mixer from standard sour blends is its use of 100% single-pressed, never-from-concentrate juices — specifically Sicilian blood orange, California lemon, and Mexican lime — sweetened with cane sugar and agave nectar rather than high-fructose corn syrup. Quick Facts: ABV: 0% (Non-Alcoholic Mixer)  |  Origin: United States  |  Style: Blood Orange Sour Mix  |  Brand: Finest Call (American Beverage Marketers) Production & Heritage Finest Call is a professional-grade mixer line produced by American Beverage Marketers (ABM), one of the largest cocktail mixer companies in the world. The Blood Orange Sour uses a formula built on 20% blood orange juice sourced from Sicily, 5% California lemon juice, and 5% Mexican lime juice — all single-pressed and never reconstituted from concentrate. The base is rounded out with cane sugar and agave nectar, giving the mixer a more natural sweetness profile than many competitors that rely on artificial sweeteners or corn syrup. Designed as a bar-ready product, it can replace both traditional sweet-and-sour mix and margarita mix in a single SKU, making it a versatile back-bar staple. Tasting Notes Aroma: Fresh citrus leads immediately, with ripe blood orange dominating. Underneath, there is a subtle berry-like sweetness characteristic of Sicilian blood oranges, backed by bright lemon and lime zest. Taste: The entry is sweet and fruit-forward, with the distinctive deep, almost raspberry-tinged flavor of blood orange taking center stage. Mid-palate, California lemon and Mexican lime provide a sharp, tart counterpoint that keeps the sweetness in check. The agave nectar contributes a smooth, rounded body that integrates cleanly with the citrus. Finish: A lingering tartness balances the residual sweetness, leaving a clean citrus impression. The bold, deep crimson color carries through visually in any drink it touches. How to Drink Blood Orange Sour This mixer is designed to be combined with spirits rather than consumed on its own, though it can be used in non-alcoholic drinks as well. Its sweet-tart profile and vivid color make it especially effective in the following cocktails: Blood Orange Margarita: Shake with tequila blanco and ice — the blood orange adds depth and color that a standard margarita mix cannot replicate. Blood Orange Whiskey Sour: Combine with bourbon and shake hard — the natural citrus tartness stands up to barrel-aged spirits without becoming cloying. Blood Orange Cosmo: Use in place of cranberry juice and triple sec with vodka and a squeeze of fresh lime — the mixer handles both the sweet and sour components in one pour. Best For Home bartenders looking to simplify their citrus mixer inventory with a single versatile bottle Hosting cocktail parties where consistent, batch-friendly drinks are needed Bartenders seeking a back-bar sour mix with real juice and natural sweeteners Adding color and complexity to classic sour-style cocktails without extra ingredients Frequently Asked Questions What does Blood Orange Sour taste like? It has a bold, deep crimson appearance and a smooth sweetness from cane sugar and agave nectar. How does Finest Call Blood Orange Sour compare to Rose's Sweet and Sour Mix? Rose's Sweet and Sour is a more generic citrus sour mix without a specialty fruit focus, while Finest Call Blood Orange Sour centers on single-pressed Sicilian blood orange juice and uses cane sugar and agave nectar as sweeteners. The Finest Call product is designed as a premium, juice-forward alternative that can function as both a sour mix and a margarita mix replacement. Is Blood Orange Sour good for cocktails? Yes — it is specifically formulated as a professional cocktail mixer and works in any recipe calling for sweet-and-sour mix or margarita mix, while adding the distinctive flavor and color of blood orange. It pairs particularly well with tequila, vodka, and bourbon. Where is Finest Call Blood Orange Sour made? Finest Call Blood Orange Sour is produced in the United States by American Beverage Marketers (ABM), using Sicilian blood orange juice, California lemon juice, and Mexican lime juice. What foods pair well with cocktails made with Blood Orange Sour? Grilled shrimp or ceviche complement the citrus tartness naturally. The standard retail size for Finest Call Blood Orange Sour is the 1-liter (1L) bottle, which is the most widely available format. Is Blood Orange Sour worth the price? Finest Call Blood Orange Sour positions as a premium cocktail mixer within the sour mix category, justified by its use of 100% single-pressed, never-from-concentrate juices and natural sweeteners. Compared to making fresh blood orange sour from scratch — which requires sourcing seasonal Sicilian blood oranges — it offers significant convenience at a reasonable price point for the quality of ingredients. Why Blood Orange Sour? The single strongest argument for Finest Call Blood Orange Sour is its juice sourcing: 100% single-pressed, never-from-concentrate Sicilian blood orange, California lemon, and Mexican lime juices in a ready-to-pour format. Most commercial sour mixes rely on reconstituted juice or artificial flavoring, making this a genuinely differentiated product in a crowded category. The ability to replace both sweet-and-sour mix and margarita mix with one bottle simplifies inventory for both home and professional bars. For anyone building cocktails where real citrus flavor and a striking crimson color matter, this mixer delivers on both counts without requiring a juicer or a trip to a specialty grocer.
