№ 13 Fig Tree - 4 Oz. Candle

Santa Barbara’s Moreton Bay Fig Tree has stood proudly near the city’s waterfront since the late 1800’s, captivating visitors with its massive canopy and storied past. Local folklore suggests it’s one of the largest of its kind in North America. Its sweeping branches provide cool shade on warm coastal afternoons, and its sprawling roots silently preserve a century’s worth of memories. The № 13 Fig Tree Candle is our tribute to this living landmark, blending sun-ripened fig, cherry blossom, and California bamboo + moss to capture the majesty and serenity of this treasured piece of Santa Barbara history. A Homage to Santa Barbara’s Historic Moreton Bay Fig Tree  Founder Alison Genet fondly recalls her first encounter with the Moreton Bay Fig Tree. There she was on her honeymoon standing in awe beneath its vast, dappled canopy. The gentle rustle of leaves overhead and the sunlit pathways beneath inspired this scent profile, inviting you to step under the tree’s embrace in your own home. Sun-Ripened Fig At the top of the fragrance, a sweet, honeyed note evokes the warm California sunshine filtering through the fig tree’s leaves. It hints at the tree’s sprawling branches laden with lush, ripe figs—a testament to the region’s fertile climate. Cherry Blossom As the candle burns, cherry blossom emerges in the heart of the fragrance, adding a soft, floral sweetness that gently compliments the fig. Think of delicate petals drifting in the light coastal breeze—a reminder of Santa Barbara’s year-round mild weather and natural grace. California Bamboo + Moss Finally, the scent settles into the grounding base of California bamboo and moss, creating an earthy finish reminiscent of the cool, shaded ground beneath the tree’s mighty roots. It’s a subtle nod to the city’s coastal groves and quiet woodland pockets, uniting freshness with a calm, reflective air. Santa Barbara Apothecary Co.™ soy candles are locally handmade.
