Harvard Health highlights yoga’s benefits for flexibility, strength, balance, and back comfort, along with stress reduction—great reasons to keep your routine consistent. Harvard Health Care & cleaning (quick routine + deeper refresh) Everyday: After class, wipe Fhloston with a damp cloth and a drop of mild dish soap; let it air-dry completely before rolling to avoid trapping moisture. Yune Yoga Occasional deep clean: REI’s expert guide outlines options by mat type (closed-cell vs. open-cell). As a rule of thumb: lukewarm soak + light scrub + thorough rinse, then full air-dry until moisture-free—especially important for thicker mats. REI DIY refresh between sessions: REI’s simple recipe—mix vinegar or witch hazel with water at a 1:4 ratio (optionally add a few drops of essential oil)—is a budget-friendly way to freshen your mat. Spray lightly, wipe, and allow to dry fully.
