Fledgling (Flute and Piccolo)

Fledgling, Duet for Flute and Piccolo, By Anne E. McKennon, Published by Falls House Press.   Fledgling is inspired by a family of Carolina wrens who built a nest above the composer’s door. This charming work for flute and piccolo depicts the pure and simple joys of a mother bird teaching her babies to fly and forage with the piccolo and flute chattering and soaring both separately and in tandem. Fledgling is a delight for musicians and bird-watchers alike, equally suitable for students and professionals. Duration: 3:00
