Fender Jim Root Signature Stratocaster Black

Fender Jim Root Stratocaster Flat Black Serial Number: US22059760 Weight: 9.0 lbs. The Fender Jim Root Stratocaster in Flat Black (Serial #US22059760) is the Slipknot guitarist's signature Strat, built for heavy, detuned playing. The mahogany body has a satin lacquer finish in Flat Black. Black hardware and a 3-ply black pickguard keep the look stripped-down and all business. It weighs 9.0 lb. The 4-bolt maple neck has a Modern "C" carve with a satin urethane finish. The ebony fretboard has a 12"–16" compound radius that keeps chords comfortable down low while flattening out for fast, clean soloing up the neck. It carries 22 jumbo frets on a 25.5" scale, with a 1.685" synthetic bone nut. The large Strat headstock has Deluxe staggered cast/sealed locking tuners for quick string changes. Instead of a tremolo, a 6-saddle string-through-body hardtail with block saddles anchors the strings, which makes it a natural fit for low tunings. The electronics are active EMG humbuckers, an EMG 81 in the bridge and an EMG 60 in the neck. Controls are as simple as it gets: one volume and a 3-way blade selector, with no tone knob. The bridge delivers tight, aggressive high-gain chug, the neck handles smoother leads and cleaner parts, and the middle position blends the two. Whether you're a Slipknot fan, a modern metal player living in drop tunings, or a collector of Fender signature models, the Jim Root Strat is built for the job. (Serial #US22059760) Includes a Fender Deluxe Black Tweed Hardshell case. Order today from Brian's Guitars, your authorized Fender dealer. Questions about this guitar? We're happy to help.
