Felt VR40

The best aluminum endurance bike we’ve ever created. Features a carbon fork to mitigate road chatter. Compatible with rack and fenders for amazing versatility. Features: Our most advanced aluminum endurance frame Shimano Tiagra groupset Tubeless-compatible aluminum wheels Endurance-Tuned Compliance Key to the VR’s meticulously tuned level of compliance is our decades-long dedication to pushing the limits of carbon fiber construction. The VR is the result of a “form following function” design, with every element of the frame precisely configured to achieve the most sublime ride quality. For example, its rear triangle utilizes seat stays that are positioned outboard of the seat tube. Along with the utilization of disc brakes, this allowed our engineers to free up the seat stays from having to handle braking forces, meaning that they have been tuned entirely to work in conjunction with the tapered seat tube profile to ensure maximum compliance at the rear wheel. The aluminum iterations of the VR also feature this same dedication to maximizing rider comfort, as well. Disc Brakes & Thru-Axles Disc brakes are the new standard in road bike technology, providing increased stopping power, enhanced modulation and better performance in both adverse weather conditions and ideal riding conditions compared to rim brakes. For racers and performance-focused riders, disc brakes also improve handling and overall control, which allows you to carry speed through turns for a more fluid riding experience. No matter your age, fitness level, body size or even where you ride, disc brakes provide numerous benefits over traditional rim caliper brakes. Available on all VR models. Equipment Integration Thanks to its endurance-oriented geometry and disc brakes, the VR possesses superior all-weather versatility. To further enhance that versatility, our engineers gifted it sleek, hidden rack mounts, and also developed a proprietary fender kit that seamlessly integrates with the VR frame. And whether it’s a spare tube, tool kit or extra nutrition products, all-day riding excursions may require extra supplies. The VR features a mounting location along the top tube for installing a “bento box” style storage bag. The two-bolt setup features standard water bottle cage spacing, which gives riders the freedom to utilize a wide selection of aftermarket storage solutions.   Sizing:   43cm 47/48cm 51cm 54cm 56cm 58cm 61cm Rider Height 144.7 -152.4 cm 4'9"-5'0" 152.4 -167.6 cm 5'0"=5'5" 167.6 -172.7 cm 5'5"-5'8" 172.7 -177.8 cm 5'8"-5'10" 177.8 -182.8 cm 5'10"-6'0" 182.8 -187.9 cm 6'0"-6'2" 187.9 -195.5 cm 6'2"-6'5" Rider Inseam 67.3 -71.2 cm 26.5"-28.0" 71.2 -74.9 cm 28"-29.5" 75.1 - 76.2 cm 29.6"-30.0" 77.9 -82.0 cm 30.7"-32.3" 81.0 -85.0 cm 31.9"-33.5" 84.0 -87.1 cm 33.1"-34.3" 87.3 -91.1 cm 34.4"-35.9"
