Fecon Tree Shear | Skid Steer and Excavator Tree Shear Attachment

Fecon Tree Shear | Skid Steer and Excavator Tree Shear Attachment Take down, grab, and move trees with one powerful attachment. The Fecon Tree Shear is a heavy-duty forestry attachment designed for land clearing, tree removal, forest thinning, fuels reduction, pasture reclamation, and right-of-way maintenance. Built for skid steers and compact track loaders, the Fecon Tree Shear can cut trees up to 15 inches in diameter while allowing the operator to grip, lift, bunch, and carry cut material. Instead of simply dropping trees where they stand, the shear gives you control of the material throughout the cutting process—making it easier to organize, stack, and remove trees from the jobsite. With a hydraulic requirement of just 15–23 GPM, the Fecon Tree Shear can operate on many standard-flow skid steers and CTLs without requiring a high-flow hydraulic system.     Why Choose the Fecon Tree Shear? The Fecon Tree Shear combines cutting and material handling into a single attachment. Its dual-knife design delivers powerful shearing action while helping keep the tree centered as it is cut and handled. Key features include: Cuts trees up to 15" in diameter 15–23 GPM hydraulic flow requirement Shear, grab, lift, bunch, and carry trees with one attachment Heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders and rods Adjustable AR400 steel cutting knives Dual-knife cutting action Strong, purpose-built forestry frame Standard skid steer quick-attach configuration available Dedicated Bobcat configuration available Ideal for skid steers and compact track loaders Fecon standard 12-month / 1,000-hour warranty Cut and Handle Trees Without Leaving the Cab Unlike an attachment that only cuts the tree, the Fecon skid steer tree shear is designed to maintain control of the material after the cut. Operators can grab a tree, shear it at the base, then lift and carry it to a pile or processing area. This makes the Fecon Tree Shear especially useful on jobs where cut trees need to be collected rather than left scattered across the property. The ability to handle multiple smaller trees can also improve productivity when clearing dense growth or thinning wooded areas. Built for Land Clearing & Forestry Work The Fecon Tree Shear is well suited for a wide range of vegetation management and tree removal applications, including: Land and lot clearing Forest thinning Wildfire fuels reduction Pasture reclamation Fence line clearing Right-of-way maintenance Site preparation Tree and brush removal Property maintenance Storm cleanup For contractors already operating a skid steer or compact track loader, a hydraulic tree shear can provide an efficient way to add tree removal capabilities without purchasing a dedicated forestry machine. Heavy-Duty AR400 Cutting Knives At the heart of the Fecon Tree Shear are durable, adjustable AR400 steel knives engineered for demanding tree-cutting applications. The dual-knife design closes around the tree to create a powerful cutting action while helping maintain control of the stem. Heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders and rods provide the force needed for cutting while supporting fast cycle times for production-oriented clearing work. Standard-Flow Hydraulic Operation You don't necessarily need a high-flow skid steer to operate a serious tree-cutting attachment. The Fecon skid steer Tree Shear requires 15–23 GPM of hydraulic flow, making it compatible with many standard-flow skid steers and compact track loaders. Always verify your machine's auxiliary hydraulic flow, operating capacity, attachment interface, and other compatibility requirements before ordering.
