Canyon Dreams (Flute Choir)

Canyon Dreams (Flute Choir) by Phyllis Avidan Louke, Published by Alry Publications. This work was inspired by the scenery observed during a rafting trip taken by the composer in July 2012. Written in two sections, the piece opens with a dreamy melody in open fifths, followed by a serene melody that begins with a duet between flute 1 and bass flute. The second section is quite energetic in 7/8 time with interspersed 3/4 time.  Instrumentation Piccolo 3 C Flutes Alto Flute (or Flute 4) Bass Flute Contrabass Flute (or Bass Flute 2)   Phyllis Avidan Louke · Canyon Dreams by Phyllis Avidan Louke (performed by Rose City Flute Choir 4-27-13)
