The engagement ring A rich blue 6 x 8 mm oval sapphire on a twisted-vine band, framed by simulated diamond accents — the statement piece of the set. The wedding band A curved band set with a single luminous freshwater pearl, softening the pair and completing the stack. Lovely worn alone from our sapphire couples rings. The blue sapphire The center is a simulated blue sapphire, cut as a 6 x 8 mm oval in a deep, saturated blue that pops against the dark band — a crisp, brilliant and budget-friendly way to get that romantic cornflower-blue look. Blue sapphire has long symbolized wisdom, loyalty and inner strength, which makes it a meaningful heart for an engagement ring. Our complete guide to sapphire meaning explores the lore in full. The pearl and diamond accents Delicate simulated diamonds trace both bands, adding a fine flash of white sparkle, while a single natural freshwater pearl crowns the wedding band with soft, organic glow. The contrast of icy sparkle, warm pearl and dark metal is what gives this set its whimsical, storybook character. The black ruthenium finish The set is solid 925 sterling silver finished with black ruthenium, a precious metal from the platinum family. It reads as a deep, smoky gunmetal — a blackened-silver tone with real depth and antique warmth — rather than a flat, pure jet-black. That is exactly what makes it magical here: the dark metal deepens the blue of the sapphire and makes the pearl glow, in a way a matte pure-black coating can’t. It is skin-safe and won’t turn your finger. For the full story, see our explainer on what black ruthenium is. What it symbolizes Sapphire for loyalty and wisdom, pearl for purity and calm, dark metal for devotion on your own terms — together they make a set as layered as your story. Because this set includes a natural pearl, treat it gently: remove the rings before showering, swimming, cleaning or applying lotions and fragrance, store them dry in the velvet box, and wipe with a soft dry cloth only. Skip abrasive polishes and ultrasonic cleaners, which can harm the pearl and the dark finish. Frequently asked questions Is the black ruthenium pure black? It is a deep, smoky gunmetal — a rich blackened-silver tone rather than a flat, pure jet-black. That is the beauty of it: the dark metal deepens the sapphire’s blue and makes the pearl glow, with an antique warmth a matte pure-black coating can’t match. What is the black ruthenium finish? Ruthenium is a precious metal from the platinum family, applied over solid 925 sterling silver for a deep blackened patina. It is skin-safe, won’t turn your finger, and gives the set its dramatic contrast. Is the sapphire real? The center is a simulated blue sapphire — a crisp, brilliant stone that delivers that rich cornflower-blue look at a very friendly price. It’s a beautiful, budget-conscious way to wear the color of sapphire. Is the pearl natural? Yes. The wedding band is set with a natural freshwater pearl, grown by nature, so it has its own soft, individual glow. Does this come as a set? Yes — two pieces: the twisted-vine blue sapphire engagement ring and a matching curved pearl wedding band designed to stack together. What are the accent stones? Bright simulated diamonds trace both bands for a fine flash of sparkle, alongside the single freshwater pearl on the wedding band. What metal is it made from? Solid 925 sterling silver finished in black ruthenium — hallmarked sterling, not vermeil and not solid gold. How big is the center stone? The oval sapphire measures 6 x 8 mm — a graceful, elongated center that sits beautifully on the twisted-vine band. Will the finish rub off? With gentle care the blackened finish wears beautifully. Remove the rings for showering, swimming and workouts, keep them from lotions and harsh chemicals, and buff only with a soft dry cloth — never an abrasive polish. How do I care for the pearl? Treat it gently: keep it away from chemicals, lotions and water, store it dry, and wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, which can damage pearls. What size should I order? Select your ring size at checkout. If you’re unsure or between sizes, contact us for guidance. Resizing is available and starts from a modest fee. Are the materials ethically sourced? Yes. All of our stones and materials are ethically sourced and conflict-free, so you can wear your set with complete peace of mind. Does it arrive gift-ready? Every order ships in a free luxury velvet gift box — ready for a proposal or to give as a keepsake.
