Faux T-Rex Mini Dinosaur skull

Dimensions: 6 x 5 x 4.5 in Hand painted. Cast from resin. Every desk or shelf needs a good bit of flair. Sure, you could go with a cheesy mug or boring family photos, or you could go with this gem of a replica skull. This resin skull is perfect for the dinosaur lover or fan of Jurassic Park. While the movie definitely takes some liberties with this prehistoric beast, it’s easy to see why when looking at its skull. Curiously enough, for being the poster child of the dinosaur kingdom, there are only a handful of complete T. rex skulls that have been discovered. There are around 20 complete Tyrannosaurus rex skulls that have been unearthed. While many T. rex fossils include partial skulls, finding a fully intact one is relatively rare. Needless to say, it would be very difficult to include a real one in your collection without being extremely lucky to find one yourself or having pockets deeper than the ocean. Considering this unfortunate fact, this replica is the best way to display this gigantic ancient beast at home on your mantel—and oh boy, does this really capture that majesty. In case you're unfamiliar with the titanic beast, here’s a quick rundown. Tyrannosaurus rex (T. rex) was one of the largest and most fearsome carnivorous dinosaurs to ever walk the Earth. It lived during the Late Cretaceous period (about 68–66 million years ago) in what is now North America. Its skull alone can be up to 5 feet long, with powerful jaws and 60+ serrated teeth. According to paleontologists, it had one of the strongest bites ever, capable of crushing bone. It’s pretty easy to see why they came to this conclusion when you look at its skull. It went extinct during the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event around 66 million years ago, likely due to an asteroid impact. It remains one of the most studied and iconic dinosaurs in history. So be bold and add this treasure to your space. You won’t be disappointed that you did.
