Fat Separator

Although it isn't one of the most glamorous kitchen tools, a Fat Separator like this one is extremely useful. When drippings from a roasting pan are poured into it, the fat rises to the top. The juices stay at the bottom, where the opening for the spout is, allowing them to be poured out. It's the first step in making some amazing gravies and reductions.  Borosilicate glass is heat resistant and microwave and dishwasher safe. The non-porous surface doesn't retain stains or odors and wont leach chemicals into your food, making this a better alternative to plastic.
