Fama’s Story: The fabric for the Fama Kimono and Pants set was ethically sourced in Mauritania and shipped to Senegal for Production. The white cotton gauze fabric was hand-dyed in Senegal, using traditional Senegalese Thioup (tie-and-dye) methods. Once dyed, the fabric is washed several times to prevent bleeding and sealed with a traditional pressing method.
