A: If your UltraHook is mounted on the front of your vehicle and exposed to trail debris or weather, the Rope Guard helps shield your synthetic rope and maintains its strength and longevity. Q: Will it work with steel winch cable? A: The Rope Guard is intended for synthetic rope use, as the UltraHook itself is designed for synthetic lines. It’s not recommended for steel cable setups. Q: Is the Rope Guard made in the USA? A: Yes. Like all Factor 55 products, the UltraHook Rope Guard is proudly manufactured in the United States. Q: What is the UltraHook Rope Guard? A: The Rope Guard is an aluminum plate that bolts onto the front of the Factor 55 UltraHook, protecting the exposed synthetic winch rope from UV damage, abrasion, and impact.
