Faceted or multifaceted sculpture and pottery have roots in a number of artistic traditions including Art Deco and Cubism, but it has been perfected in modern art! The benefit of a faceted design is that it helps the observer see how one piece (or side) contributes to make the whole! When painting your Faceted Fox Planter, consider painting each panel a unique color. This will highlight the overall shape created by the individual sections! Or, perhaps, use variations of orange, blonde, and shades of gray to bring a look of reality to your modernist shape! As a functional planter, it's important that the Faceted Fox Planter is glazed and fired in a kiln after painting. This process will seal and waterproof the planter, so it can be used inside and out!
