Fable Table Runner

Rich texture comes to the fore in Fable, a striking textile defined by staggered densities and multi-tonal colors that form layered, multifaceted stripes. This dynamic design is inspired by the art of reuse—resembling handmade textiles crafted from Chilewich “selvedge,” where ribbon-like remnants are gathered from the factory floor and rewoven into one-of-a-kind compositions. The result is a table runner with depth, movement, and a story woven into every strand. Crafted in the USA, Fable is made from innovative TerraStrand® yarns containing 25% renewable vegetable content and is completely free of phthalates. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, it combines elevated aesthetics with exceptional durability. The unbacked, reversible construction enhances versatility, while its slim 0.05" profile ensures a refined, modern look. Available in two colorways. Care & Maintenance Cleaning is effortless—simply wipe with soap and water and allow to air dry. For deeper cleaning, mats can be scrubbed with a soft-bristle brush or soaked in soapy water and rinsed. Avoid alcohol-based or citrus cleaners, as well as dishwashers, washing machines, ironing, or heat drying. A high-temperature sanitizer may be used occasionally (up to once per week). Storage Store flat or roll runners for easy storage. Do not fold or crease. If creasing occurs, gently steam using a handheld garment steamer on the lowest setting. Custom Options Custom placemat and runner orders are available with a standard lead time of 2–3 weeks. Special shapes require a CAD file or template for production. Please note all custom orders are final sale. Sustainability & Craft Since 2000, Chilewich has reimagined overlooked materials and processes to transform everyday table settings. Fable reflects this ethos—combining longevity, easy maintenance, and thoughtful material innovation. Built to endure decades of daily use, each piece supports a more sustainable lifestyle by reducing the need for frequent replacement and resource-intensive care. Durable, versatile, and artfully constructed, the Fable Table Runner brings texture, innovation, and lasting beauty to the table.
