Eyes Wide Open

In her latest body of work, Jordan Wright Patterson explores the space between the present and memory. The indigo palettes of this collection evokes water, sky and shadow - elements that are constantly shifting and impossible to hold. Texture becomes a quiet language, creating movement that can be felt as much as seen. Her free-handed sculpting suggests gestures of searching, mapping, and remembering. Patterson's practice is rooted in embracing the space between control and spontaneity, allowing organic formations to create balance reflecting the way memories, emotions, and identities are continually reshaped by time. Ultimately, Patterson's work is an invitation to slow down and look beyond the obvious, asking viewers to find their own meaning within shifting forms where silence, movement and abstraction coexist in quiet conversations.
