Marquise of Horus Ring

The Ancient History A sculptural interpretation of the Eye of Horus, one of the most enduring protective symbols of the ancient world. In Egyptian myth, Horus lost his left eye in battle with Set while avenging his father Osiris. The eye was torn into six parts and restored by Thoth, and the restored form was called the wedjat, the whole one. The Eye of Horus amulet was worn against harm, misfortune, and the evil eye. The left eye, shown here, is the lunar eye of Horus; the same form mirrored as the right eye is the solar Eye of Ra. This Eye of Horus gold ring carries the form at scale, a marquise diamond ring in sculpted 18k. Worn as a statement piece, or as a marquise engagement ring in place of a traditional solitaire, a unisex design meant to become an heirloom. Jewelry Details Solid 18k gold, yellow or white.
