The Santa Fe Compact70 Dehumidifier (4044110), formerly the Compact2, is a powerful yet space-saving dehumidifier that eliminates moisture in basements and crawl spaces. Its horizontal design makes it perfect for low-clearance crawl spaces and tight basement areas. This dehumidifier is rated to cover medium-sized basements and crawl spaces up to 2,200 square feet. See Sylvane's Review Of The Santa Fe Compact70 Energy Star Most-Efficient 2024 With the Santa Fe Compact70, customers can be assured that they are getting one of the most energy-efficient dehumidifiers on the market today. Not only has this model been Energy Star certified, but it has also been awarded Energy Star's 2024 Most Efficient rating, a significant accomplishment that is only awarded to the top 5 percent of products. Energy Star has confirmed that this compact unit will remove 43.7 pints of moisture per day at 65 degrees F and 60 percent relative humidity, with a dehumidifier efficiency integrated energy factor of 4.1 pints removed per kWh of electricity used. Top Santa Fe Compact70 Features Compact Design for Tight Spaces At just 55 pounds, 12 inches long, and 12 inches high, the Santa Fe Compact70 Dehumidifier is small enough to fit in crawl spaces and between floor joists while providing powerful dehumidification. This unit allows you to conserve valuable space while getting the necessary humidity control. Long-Term Reliability This dehumidifier, engineered by Santa Fe in Madison, Wisconsin, comes with an unmatched 6-year warranty. However, you likely won't need to use it, as the Compact70 model contains durable parts and a heavy-duty steel outer shell that can withstand demanding environments like garages, basements, and crawl spaces. Upgraded 6-Year Warranty  Manufacturers have announced that Santa Fe dehumidifiers now have an upgraded warranty that guarantees performance and customer satisfaction for up to six years.  This industry-leading "Peace of Mind" warranty covers all Santa Fe dehumidifiers manufactured after January 1, 2024. It offers a 5-year warranty against operational failures and a 6-year warranty for faulty components. In the unlikely event of a unit breakdown, Santa Fe will replace or repair the affected unit. However, customers should consult their Owner's Manual for detailed information about their Warranty's terms and conditions. Additional Features Simple Humidity Control: Easily adjust the knob to set your ideal humidity level from 20 to 80 percent, and this model automatically maintains it. You also control fan operation with a single switch. Two-Stage Air Filtration: Together, a foam pre-filter and a pleated MERV 13 filter ensure efficient dehumidifying, protect the dehumidifier's internal components, and capture irritating allergens. Auto Defrost: This unit operates successfully in temperatures down to 49 degrees F. Should frost form on the internal components in lower temperatures, an automatic defrost system shuts off operation and quickly melts ice so the unit can resume regular operation. Auto Restart: Santa Fe dehumidifiers automatically restart to previous settings after a power outage.  Quiet Operation: From 6 feet away, its sound level is 58 to 63 dB, roughly equivalent to a quiet conversation. Fan Operation: Set the fan to run continuously or only when the compressor runs and the dehumidifier actively removes moisture.  R454B Refrigerant: The Compact70 now uses R454B refrigerant, which is more energy-efficient and environmentally safe than previous formulations.  Sizing for the Compact70 Studies show that the stack effect pulls almost half of your home air from the basement or crawl space.  Too much damp air in your crawl space or basement may damage your home's infrastructure, flooring, furniture, and electrical systems. It can also carry musty odors and symptom-triggering allergens like mold spores, mildew, bacteria, and dust mites. Below are Santa Fe's sizing suggestions for basements and crawl spaces based on how tightly sealed your basement and crawl spaces are. The Compact70 covers:  Crawl Spaces Very tightly sealed: 2,600 square feet Moderately sealed: 2,200 square feet Some leaks and imperfections: 1,800 square feet Basements Very tightly sealed: 2,200 square feet Moderately sealed: 2,000 square feet Some leaks and imperfections: 1,800 square feet Customized Installation and Operation Like other Santa Fe dehumidifiers, this crawl space model is easily customizable for your basement or crawl space dehumidifying needs. Right out of the box, the Compact70 can operate as a standalone unit by plugging it into a 115-volt outlet and routing the included gravity hose to a nearby drain. However, this unit can support pumped drainage and ducted applications with a few optional accessories. Hang Kit: Add the optional Hang Kit to suspend it between floor joists and out of the way. Condensate Pump: An external condensate pump for the Compact70 is available as an accessory for an alternative to gravity drainage.  Ducting Kit: A Ducting Kit and ducting accessories are also available. If the standalone operation is impossible or impractical, you might prefer to duct your dehumidifier. Filter Replacements: You can find replacement MERV 13 filters here. While less effective and efficient, you can also use this MERV 11 filter replacement.  Sylvane-Exclusive Package Deals  Compact70 + Riser Package Planning on placing the Compact70 in a location where you'll need a little more elevation for drainage?
