Close to the bed, plastic figures hymn intimate acts, always spectacular.  The vibrant colors in shades of blue and with gold details of the furniture and draped wall recall the third capital sin. The study of poses and gestures, accompanied by the choice of bodies to be photographed, reflects contemporary society: LaChapelle thus shows and denounces the fixation on the extremes of body care, providing us with interesting food for thought. Inserting himself masterfully between the dreamlike and hyperrealist dimensions, LaChapelle makes a subtle social critique. The scene comes across as surreal to the viewer, dominated by bright and vivid hues, emphasizing the critical trend of modern society in which what matters is the showiness of gestures and what is in fashion at the moment.
