NEW! Evostar 100EDX APO Doublet [LIMITED EDITION]

An Elegant Balance of Value and Performance Sky-Watcher’s Evostar apochromatic doublet refractors are the perfect blend of superior extra-low dispersion glass and affordability. The Evostar refractor lens assembly utilizes a proprietary combination of matched lenses, delivering tack-sharp stars with charcoal-black, contrast-rich skies. All ED glass elements are fluorite-based and feature our proprietary Metallic High-Transmission Coatings™ (MHTC™), virtually eliminating all false color while internal baffle prevent stray light from affecting your photography. Like the optics, the tube is beautifully crafted using aluminum and finished with a white metal-flake finish. Using a doublet refractor instead of a triplet has some advantages: less glass means less weight, less weight means a less expensive telescope, so you can dedicate more money for your mount, camera, or accessories while benefiting from a lightweight astrophotography rig. Sky-Watcher Evostar EDX refractors provide the finest images obtainable in their design class. These doublet refractors deliver dramatic, coal-black skies and faithful, contrast-rich views of planetary and deep-space phenomenon that are second to none. Sky-Watcher Evostar EDX refractors are the logical choice for the discriminating amateur astronomer looking for an investment in advanced instrumentation for exceptional viewing and astrophotography. Evostars come in a foam-lined aluminum case with accessories, including: 2.8-inch Crayford-style focuser, tube rings, camera angle adjuster, thread-on dew shield, focuser adapter ring, spacer, 1.25 to 2-inch adapter, and a V-style dovetail. Razor Sharp Optics Sky-Watcher Evostar EDX refractors use the finest extra-low dispersion glass available. This results in the best color correction for an ED doublet lens. Versatility and Affordability The Evostar EDX line is designed to meet the needs of both the discerning imager and the experienced observer while keeping finances in mind. A Complete Range of Apertures Evostar EDX comes in a wide selection of apertures to fit the needs of the contemporary amateur astronomer, from the compact 80mm for your grab-and-go setup to the generous 120mm for high-resolution work, you will find what you're looking for. EvoGuide 50mm Minigraph The 50mm Evoguide is Sky-Watcher's smallest ED APO refractor, equally comfortable as a high-resolution guidescope or, when paired with its matched field flattener, as an ultra-compact astrograph.
