Evolucio Furmint White Wine

Tasting Notes The Evolúció Furmint Tokaj is a vibrant and expressive dry white wine hailing from Hungary's historic, volcanic Tokaj region. On the nose, this unoaked wine bursts with intense, fresh aromas of green apple, juicy pear, white grapefruit, and citrus zest, intricately layered with delicate notes of white flowers, honeysuckle, and a distinct crushed-rock minerality. The palate delivers a lush yet energetic profile, featuring crisp flavors of apricot, white peach, and nectarine balanced by a striking, mouthwatering acidity and a subtle hint of residual sugar that gives it a clean, textured mouthfeel. It concludes with a refreshing, long, and mineral-driven finish accented by notes of white pear and citrus. Thanks to its signature high acidity and dense core of stone fruit flavors, Evolúció Furmint behaves like a hybrid of Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling, making it an incredibly versatile, food-friendly pairing partner. The wine brilliantly cuts through rich, savory profiles, pairing flawlessly with fried fish tacos, herbed poultry, oysters, sushi, and Asian dumplings. Its bright acid spine effortlessly balances dishes with subtle heat or rich components, making it an excellent match for mildly spicy chicken or pork dishes, creamy chicken mains, and rich seafood. Additionally, it serves as a wonderful foil for fresh cheeses, pairing exceptionally well with dry, matured goat cheese or Boursin. 750ml
