Ever Evolving

Ever Evolving Tanner Valant (United States) Color pencil, pen, marker, airbrush, on paper. Size: 22"W x 30"H original artwork, framed in a 29"W x 35"H black frame with black matting. Wired and ready to hang Tanner Valant creates hyper-realistic, unexpected image pairings—fish swim around M.C. Escher-like spheres, paint-dripping hands hold bonsais, and classical busts are drenched in mercury-like liquid—challenging viewers to explore themes of balance, duality, and human interaction through dark, mystical elements. At just 19, Valant, an emerging artist at the Art Institute of Chicago, achieves stunning precision using colored pencils, pens, airbrushes, and markers. As his technique evolves, he aims to engage critically with society, incorporating familiar objects to reflect our changing world.
