EVAC Systems Pre-Rig Rescue Backpack – 300’ Rope Capacity SAR Pack

The "Ready-to-Rescue" Deployment System The Evac Systems Pre-Rig Backpack is built for the rescue team that believes seconds count. Improved after extensive field testing, this pack is specifically tailored to house pre-rigged mechanical advantage systems (like Z-rigs or RPMs). Instead of assembling your system on the side of a cliff while the clock ticks, this pack allows you to arrive at the anchor point, pull out the system, and go, shaving critical minutes off your rescue time. Key Features Pre-Rigged Security: The interior is equipped with specialized straps and Velcro® loops designed to secure carabiners, pulleys, and descent control devices in their pre-assembled configuration, preventing the "spaghetti mess" of tangled rigging during transport. Extended Rope Capacity: The extra-long chassis is sized to hold up to 300 feet of 1/2″ static rescue rope, providing the reach needed for medium-to-long range lowers or raises. Semi-Stayed Internal Frame: To manage the significant weight of 300 feet of rope plus hardware, the pack features a semi-stayed internal frame. This provides structural rigidity and load transfer to the hips, reducing fatigue during long approach hikes. Narrow Profile Design: Like all Evac SAR packs, it utilizes a slim, vertical profile that keeps the load centered between the shoulders and prevents snagging in narrow slot canyons, caves, or thick brush. Why It Matters In technical rescue, "building the system" is often the bottleneck. The Pre-Rig Backpack eliminates this bottleneck. It bridges the gap between a simple rope bag and a complex hardware cache, allowing the rigger to deploy a fully functional raising/lowering system the moment they hit the ground. How to Use Pre-Stage: In the station, build your 3:1 or 5:1 mechanical advantage system attached to the rope. Secure: Use the internal Velcro loops to strap the pulleys and MPs in place so they don't shift. Pack: Flake the remaining 300’ of rope into the bottom. Deploy: At the scene, pull the system out fully assembled, anchor it, and begin operations immediately. Technical Overview The pack focuses on a vertical, narrow footprint to aid balance in technical terrain. The internal frame stays are critical for stabilizing the 30-50lb load.
